Theatre rep students pose with medals after competition

The Repertory Theatre class participated in the Region Theatre Competition earlier in March. This is the first time in a long time that Bonneville has participated, and definitely the first time since Lindsea Garside, theatre teacher, has been at Bonneville. She said, "We had so much fun, and the students did so well!"

Specifically, Lucy placed 2nd overall in Dramatic Monologues, Leah, Kate, and Wyatt placed 3rd overall in Pantomime. Additionally, Carley received the award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in their one-act, One Stoplight Town.

Another highlight is that the set for One Stoplight Town won Best Set Design, which is very exciting because Cash Morgan's welding class built the frames, and Amanda Petersen's Art 1030 class painted them. Garside said, "It's been so fun to work together on this project, and we are so grateful they were open to the idea!"

Congratulations to Lindsea Garside and her Repertory Theatre class, as well as all others involved in their success. Go Lakers!

The following students qualified for the State Competition on April 18th. Students participated in 12 events in total, and nine qualified.

  • Dramatic Monologues: Carley Price, Lucy Whitby, Christian Jensen
