Roy High School is a 4A Utah secondary school with an enrollment of approximately 1500 students.
The newly-adopted Roy High School Motto is: “Royal PRIDE: Live Golden, Bleed Black.” Our mascot is the “Royal,” a person with royal aptitudes who strives to achieve excellence in every facet of life. The Royals identify with a lion wearing a crown (King/Queen of the Jungle), and our school colors are gold, black, and white. The Roy High Mission Statement: “Roy High School inspires students to become noble community members who are honorable in behavior, exemplary in academics, dignified in leadership, sincere in service, and unified in differences.”
Roy High is located in Roy, Utah, about 7 miles west of Ogden. It is the only high school in Roy City and, thus, is the hub of the Roy community. Roy High is one of four high schools in the Weber School District and includes grades 10-12. We offer multiple concurrent enrollment courses, as well as 10 advanced placement courses. Roy High first opened its doors on August 30, 1965, with expansion projects including a large auditorium, gymnasium, and indoors commons area. Scheduled for the 2011-12 school year are several athletics facility improvements, namely the addition of seating in the football stadium and new scoreboards for the soccer, softball and football programs. The Royal teaching staff numbers approximately 72 teachers.
Roy High is an accredited high school, and will be newly accredited in the spring of 2012. Royal alumni and school community members are actively engaged and involved in the goings-on at Roy High. Our “Rowdy Royal” contingent is one of the most loyal school communities in the state of Utah! Go Royals, Go!
