Bonneville High School would like to nominate Larell Cottle for Weber School District’s “Classified Employee of the Year” award. Larell is the head custodian at Bonneville. He has been keeping Bonneville High School looking great for over half of its 50 year history.
Larell takes great pride in the way his school and grounds look every day. He and his crew make sure everything is looking great each morning so the students can enjoy a positive learning environment. He and his crew worked many hours this year to prepare to hose Bonneville High School’s 50th Birthday Open House. The school looked great, with lighted showcases, fresh waxed floors, and clean carpet.
Larell has been recognized three different times on a national level for the “Field of Excellence Award” for having one of the top 30 turf football fields in the nation. Larell takes great pride in the presentation of all areas of the building and grounds.
Larell cares deeply about each student at the school. He is particularly aware of those facing daunting challenges. Larell quietly seeks out opportunities to help these students. He knows that a custodian plays a large roll in helping students feel safe and comfortable in their school.
Larell shows great loyalty to his crew. They love him and work hard for him. He has high expectations of each employee and they respond. He prepares his employees for advancement opportunities and for life. Over the years, he has trained many of the head custodians throughout the district.
We proudly nominate Larell Cottle for the “WSD Classified Employee of the Year”. He personifies “Laker Pride”, with respect for self, others, and his school.
Sincerely,
Art Hansen
